Reading Motivation
All Hardy School students have classroom reading homework expectations assigned by their individual teachers. Learn2Earn (Whoo's Reading?) is a motivational program for our reading students in grades 3-5 to fulfill those requirements. This online site allows students to identify the books they are reading, log in their daily minutes, respond to Common Core type questions, and earn coins to shop for their owl avatar. Each time students reach 1,000 recorded minutes they will be invited to choose a book to keep. Again, please help your children understand this is not additional reading time tagged onto classroom expectations. Rather, Whoo's Reading is a motivational program to help encourage students to do their classroom reading homework.
All the students are welcome to borrow books from our collection to read for their reading homework and assignments. We keep our lending library current, reflecting the interests of our students as reported on Learn2earn!
